The Juan Antonio Samaranch Centre for Olympic and Sports Studies has created the Oral Memory project. One of the main goals of this project is to preserve, record and popularise the spirit of the figures who have devoted part of their lives to spreading the values of the Olympics and of sport, and enhanced Barcelona’s reputation as one of the main sporting capitals in the world.
The project began in 2022 with recordings of the testimonies of different figures who played significant roles in the organisational success of the Barcelona 1992 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The testimonies gave rise to the making of a documentary titled 30 views, 30 years later, which, through the different voices, recounts the unfolding of the most important event in the history of the city of Barcelona, namely the 1992 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
