From the Barcelona Olympic Foundation we wish to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of journalist and writer Lluís Permanyer i Lladós, who passed away at the age of 86.
Permanyer, author of numerous books and articles on the history and heritage of Barcelona, was one of the city’s most respected and beloved voices. His work and critical insight have played a key role in preserving the memory and spirit of contemporary Barcelona.
The Foundation fondly remembers his collaboration with us, as he wrote the foreword for the book dedicated to the World Championships held in Barcelona, published by the Barcelona Olympic Foundation.
