The Fundació Barcelona Olímpica has launched a new edition of the International Art on Paper Award, a contest that since 2010 has strengthened the bond between art and sport while promoting contemporary artistic creation.
This year’s edition carries special significance: 2027 marks the 35th anniversary of the Barcelona’92 Olympic Games, and the jury will give special consideration to works that reflect on this milestone.
Two categories are open to artists over 18 — Single Technique and Mixed Technique — alongside a special prize for emerging artists aged 18 to 30. Both completed works and unrealized project proposals can be submitted, provided they are made on paper.
The three winning works will each receive €1,000 and will join the Fundació’s permanent art collection. Every finalist work will also receive €300 to cover exhibition and transport costs. All finalist pieces will be displayed at the Olympic and Sports Museum during 2027.
The deadline to submit entries is 23 November 2026. Interested artists can send their documentation to info@artsobrepaper.cat.
Don’t miss the chance to become part of Barcelona’s Olympic legacy through your art.
