Pere Sust has a great professional career, making him one of the best representatives of federated sport in Catalonia. Born on November 28, 1941 in Barcelona, Pere Sust has always been closely linked to sports and, more specifically, to the world of basketball. A first division basketball player with CB Laietà and CE Sant Joan-Maristes, his professional career has been closely linked to offices, from where he has exercised different roles: founder and current Chairman of the Catalan Association of Sports Directors. Sust has been the Secretary General for Sports, the Chairman of the Catalan Federation of Basketball, the Chairman of the Spanish Federation of Basketball, the Vice-President of the Spanish Olympic Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of COOB 92 and the FIBA, among other posts. We have been able to gain more in-depth knowledge of federated sport in Catalonia through Pere Sust, who has experienced it and helped build the sport we enjoy today.
