The FPO (Barcelona Olympic Foundation) and the JASF (Joan Antoni Samaranch Foundation) have signed a partnership agreement for the development of joint cultural projects.

The two bodies will be joining forces and resources to produce exhibitions and shows, to set up bursaries, develop educational programmes and increase their archive and museum collections. All with the aim of fostering and promoting the values of sport and the Olympic movement.

Sport is, beyond competition, an educational tool which can break down barriers in the interests of equality. Milestones such as the global involvement of men and women at the Olympic Games (for the first time in history at the London Games in 2012 all 204 delegations included female participants) give meaning to the work performed by the FBO and JASF to promote Olympic and sporting values.
