Xavier Trias visits the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum for the first time

Xavier Trias, the Mayor of Barcelona, accompanied his in-laws – including Montserrat Amat, the widow of film director and producer Josep Arraut de Ossó – to the screening of the film “II Mediterranean Games. Barcelona, July 1955”.

Josep Arraut, originally from Tortosa and a pharmacist by trade, was a huge fan of the cinema and was the creator of the cinema department of the College of Pharmacists. During the Mediterranean Games, which were held in Barcelona in 1955, he shot the film “II Mediterranean Games. Barcelona, July 1955” which won the City of Barcelona Award for Film in 1957.
