Highlights of the refurbished area of the Olympic Museum include the yacht Dragon Fortuna and two new spaces; one is interactive and aimed at younger visitors, plus a new cultural space dedicated to art and film with sporting connections.

A través de les gestions del Sr. Josep Antón Camuñas, exsecretari General d’Esports de la Generalitat de Catalunya, la Fundació Barcelona Olímpica ha cedit diversos pòsters i litografies per a la seva exposició a Quingdao. Entre aquests, es trobaven:
Pòsters oficials, de diferents autors, dels Jocs Olímpics de Barcelona ’92; una litografia original amb motiu de la Petra, de Javier Mariscal; i una col·lecció fotogràfica de la Biennal de Reus Fotosport, de qui la Fundació Barcelona Olímpica n’és col·laboradora.
