2017 judges’ decision in the 8th Barcelona Olympic Foundation International Art on Paper Awards

The jury, consisting of Romà Arranz, teacher at the Escola Massana Centre for Art and Design, Raquel Medina, art critic and member of Catalan and International Associations of Art Critics (ACCA-AICA), Antoni Benages, visual artist, and Juli Pernas, director of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation, has decided, after profound deliberation, that the winners of these 8th Barcelona Olympic Foundation International Art on Paper Awards are as follows:

1st prize:  Terrenys de joc: a tres bandes [Fields of Play: Three Cushions] (Collage on paper) by Maria Del Març Rabal (Catalonia)

2nd prize: Estadio [Stadium] (oil on paper) by Isadora Willson (Chile)

3rd prize:  After Olympia (mixed media) by Leticia Gaspar (Basque Country)

The winning works together with the finalists will be exhibited in the Temporary Gallery at the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum from 10 October.
It is worth remembering that this international competition has various cash prizes: €2,500 (1st prize), €1,800 (2nd prize) and €1,200 (3rd prize).
